Editorial standards
These rules govern the Knovato blog, job pages, and AI-facing documents. Last updated September 13, 2026.
Evidence
Learning-science claims cite primary sources (DOI or publisher page) when we reference testing effects, spacing, or interleaving. We distinguish product thesis ("how we apply this") from peer-reviewed findings.
We do not invent customer counts, university logos as customers, star ratings, or fabricated testimonials. When we lack users, we say so and describe founder dogfooding instead.
Product honesty
- No permanent free plan; trial requires a card.
- AI drafts need human editing — we say that on job pages.
- Scanned PDFs without OCR are a known limit.
- Folder collaboration is not in v1.
- Name collisions (Knowt, etc.) are clarified on /about and /for-ai.
Corrections
Email contact@knovato.app with factual errors. We update the page and bump the visible "last updated" date when material claims change.
